Overview
Depwire is an open-source CLI tool. We collect minimal, anonymous telemetry data to understand how the tool is used and improve it over time.
What We Collect
When you run a depwire command, we collect:
- Command name (e.g. parse, mcp, viz)
- Depwire version number
- Operating system (mac, linux, or windows)
- Node.js version
What We Never Collect
- File paths or code content
- Repository names or URLs
- Usernames, emails, or personal data
- IP addresses (not stored)
- Machine or device identifiers
How to Opt Out
Set this environment variable to disable telemetry:
export DEPWIRE_NO_TELEMETRY=1
We also respect the DO_NOT_TRACK=1 standard.
Data Storage
Telemetry events are stored in Cloudflare D1 (SQLite). Data is retained for 12 months and used solely to improve Depwire.
